一、thank you for 意思是谢谢。对已经做的某事表示感谢用for引导出来。例如：

She said goodbye and thanked us for coming. 她向我们道别，并感谢我们的光临。

二、thank you to 意思是求你、劳驾。to后面接动词，表示对未发生的事表示感谢。如果是Ill thank you to do sth.的话，则带有埋怨的口吻。例如：
